So, a couple days ago, I'm doing my Christian duty and switching shifts, so I start at 10:00 and not 9:00. So I figure, I'll take the 8:00 train (last one outta the station) and get to work a little later.

Not SIGNIFICANTLY later, mind you. The TTC just sucks coming out of Islington Station at 8:30. No two ways about it. You just wait and wait and then four buses come out of nowhere. Why I'm glad I've got a carcoming my way next month.

Anyway, so I'm strolling to the 8 am train from Milton (the last train out of Milton for the day; everything after that is bus), and I notice something familiar. Okay, someOne familiar.

Yep. Eugene (Uday, for the uninitiated), #3 in a charming series, collect them all.

Turns out that a couple weeks ago, when he called me up to see if the Milton train stopped on Dixie, he wasn't just whistling dixie (hah!). He'd started the job a while back, and was taking the train in, and Mississauga Transit-ing it in from there. "You meet some ... interesting characters on Mississauga Transit," he quipped.

Yep.

Digression: Sudden thump from upstairs. I dash about making sure Snra is cool, and get into the bedroom. She's snuggled up in the bed, and the cats just stare at me. "Really, is there anything we can help you with?"

Anyway, turns out Uday usually catches the train at 7:40, but missed it, so he took the 8:00. Which is odd, because I take that train every day, but we bumped into each other on the train neither of us takes.

Good to spend time with family, I think. For better or worse, they're the people you understand best.
