Oct. 3rd, 2004 05:53 pmHome, for a minute. Dropping off stuff. Snra is still at the hotel w/ Dead Enders from convention.
I have time for only one statement:
Holy Shit, the hotel was great. I've been to dozens of hotels across two countries for conventions, and I have NEVER been in one as good as the Toronto Airport Marriot.
Seriously. The bed was COMFORTABLE. It was a shock; for the past couple years, I've come to expect a horrendous night's sleep at a con (wether because Inquisition level beds or just snoring freelancer), but this place had great beds. The food? Oh, dear lordy, the food. The chicken was tender and moist, not the hockey pucks you normally expect, and the sweet potatoes were sublime.
The staff? Forget about it. I've NEVER encountered such a group of courteous, professional, and HELPFUL people in my life. They were communicative, inquisitive, and friendly.
If you have an event of any size up to about 700 people, you really owe it to yourself to check out the hotel.
An effusive letter will be written.
I also spent the day doing my
gurudata impression for everyone. Much hilarity ensued.
