Okay, two things:

A) the Milton Comic Shop, upon examination from the outside, does not appear to have new comics racks. This is disquieting. It appears to be focused around Yu Gi Oh & Magic. I examied it from the outside because it closed at 6. On a Wednesday? Sweet God. Just bad.

B) speaking of bad, are all Muppets Tonight episodes as bad as the Whoppig Goldberg one? Miss Piggy with Catherine Zeta Jones hair? Kermit doing Talking Heads?

Man. I thought Muppets in Space was bad (which, admitedly, it was) but at least it was in, out, gone. This must have gone on for at least five weeks.

The episode with Garth Brooks is absolutely hilarious! Hang in there.

Not all Muppets Tonight eps were bad.

But not one, even at its heighest, came anywhere close to matching the original Muppet Show. If you want your Muppets fix, the original show is available in a "Best of" compilation with three episodes per DVD. I highly recommend that over anything having to do with Muppets Tonight.

Comics Express used to up on Main Street with loads of comics on racks and back issues. It's where I discovered comics in the first place.

It's on its third location and gone quite downhill....

Sorry, I meant the old part of Main Street, not where it is now by the Rogers Video.

The DVDs are, for the most part, unavailable in Canada and cannot be purchased in the States to be shipped to a Canadian address (some weirdness with licensing and Time-Life). I had to have a friend in the States buy them and then drop them off when she was on a road trip up here. :(

And don't think that all the eps available of The Muppet Show are necessarily the good ones -- there's a lot of crap on those DVDs, too. *sigh*

I agree, that episode is a hoot (his bad Tom Jones impression had me howling with laughter). But it's been on already -- and unless they repeat it before the show moves to 4pm, it's unlikely he'll see it... That, and the Sandra Bullock episode ("phenomena?" "doo DOO dee doo doo!") were pretty darn good.

The best parts are the bits with Pepe and the outtakes during the credits (if only the stupid announcer would shut the heck up...).
