It's been a day.
Oct. 5th, 2008 02:06 amI was up early today, Had a dentist's appointment to fix a cracked molar, which is always fun. It went quick, and was relatively painless. I still think I need a dental office that's more convenient; this place was a two minute walk when we lived in Mississauga.
We no longer live in Mississauga.
Then, I had to drive back to hit the Milton farmer's market so we could get a couple jars of chutney for Thanksgiving, some fresh meat and some fruit n' veg.
Cynra was gonna do it, but her purse was in my car. Of course it was.
Of course, when that was finished, we had to go get some stuff. She had a library check that we went to Costco to spend (Hardy boys books as well as a couple more contemporary kids books), and we also grabbed lunch there. Which remains an iffy idea at best. We did split our fall poutine there, even though it's a better dish when eaten outside on a cold day.
Oh, yeah: I bought this.
I may not need to leave the house ever again.
We had some early Christmas shopping to do for the grand-neices, and since I needed a new jacket for now and for winter, we did some Sears shopping. It went well, except they forgot to remove my security tag. Whoops! I guess I'll have to go back tomorrow to get that fixed.
We came home, and I did some yard work while Cynra tried to rest her cold away. She wasn't feeling any better when I was done, so we eschewed public company and stayed home.
The butcher at the farmer's market, btw, has these delightful apple harvest sausages. Delicious, I tell you. We had that along with some eggs for dinner, and I got to play some xbox; Bully is an enjoyable game.
So now, I'm up too late, watching The Blues Brothers. It continues to be an awesome, awesome film.
