So, yeah, not talking
Sep. 7th, 2008 01:39 amIt ain't awesome. It's different, though. I kept the phrase "I have a throat infection and cannot speak" on my cell phone.
People tend to make assumptions when you can't speak. One guy assumed I was deaf, for example. The wife and I made our regular trip to the market yesterday, then got cupcakes from FlourGirls (which is awesome, btw).
But it's late now. I catch myself speaking on occasion, trying to catch Cindy's eye or singing along to a song. It's hard to not do something to intrinsic to the nature of ourselves. I even have to keep from yelling at the cats.
