Nice dinner
Nov. 4th, 2006 11:28 amSo, last night Cynra & I took in dinner at Cantina Mexicana. I'd been meaning to go there for a few years, but this week The Star did a restaurant review on it, so it was the perfect time to go there.
We managed to get the only table in the restaurant that wasn't reserved. Naturally, after getting what amounted to a half page ad in the country's biggest newspaper, they were a bit on the busy side.
The dinner was marred slightly by a couple sitting next to us talking about Building 7 at the WTC among other 9/11 Conspiracy theories. Holy crap. It was mostly the woman, haranguing her be-mulleted broken nosed beau about it. I'd bet a quarter he's a goalie, or a defense-man.
Dinner was good; we had the Mexican pirogues, some tamales, and lime soup for appetizers, and Cynra had a quesadilla and I had pork tacos. It was good, although the lime soup wasn't quite as good as Rancho Relaxo's.
Good night overall, aside from sitting next to the Larouches. Watched Allan Tudyk's episode of CSI when we got home. Not what I'd call a cheerful episode; I like that they're setting up Grissom's departure in such a way that it won't be a surprise, and I am looking forward to Liev Schreiber's arrival in January. That will be, in fact, awesome.
