Read the news today, oh boy!
Aug. 3rd, 2006 09:43 amSo, yesterday a new way of doing things (which is the standard of the corporate world; new ways of doing things often happen, regardless of how comfortable the existing way of doing things is) arrived. I got to do a voiceover for a hypothetical call, which was fun. I do horrible accents, but they amuse the folks.
Anyway, as part of the 'bag o' stuff' we get at these things we this time got a small chinese takeout box filled with candy (well, not FILLED. There was candy inside it), a Successories branded notepad (shudder) and a small lantern.
This last item filled me with the most glee, as it allowed me to go around the office saying "Look at me! I'm Diogenes!" Okay, eventually. It first let me go around saying "look at me! I'm Aristophenes!", but no one took the time to correct me, and I don't think they got the gist of the actual joke in any case.
We also did the "draw for parking" at work yesterday. Bad news, since I'm gonna need to park at the mall and take the shuttle bus.
Cynra & I stopped by the new building in Mississauga, and it looks like it's going well. The frame seems to be almost complete, which must be a good sign. I pray they'll be finished ahead of time (maybe a year ahead of time? Wishful thinking, shurly!) but am prepared to suffer my optimism.
