Nov. 2nd, 2005 11:17 pmFinally finished off X-Men Legends. Very enjoyable game, obviously made by a develpoment team who loved the XM mythos.
Magneto? Punk. So I took him out like a punk. Master Mold? Super punk. Hid behind force fields, a hundred Sentinels and some sentinel tanks, so I had to take care of his ass, too.
Curious, though, as to why there was an X-Gap in the Change Team screen. Was that spot for Professor X when he was on the team for astral missions?
Somewhat dissapointed that I never got to get through all the Danger Room missions. The final missions (aside from the Master Mold's effin force fields) weren't that tough, so it wasn't ultra-necessary to level up some more, but it would have been fun. The Trivia game was a hoot.
The Staff of Nimrod made things SO much easier. Storm just hurls legendary Chain Lightening on Sentinel heads, which did Uber-Damage and set up lovely combos.
terminal_pariah was so very, very right about leadership. Wonderful skill.
I'm quite fond of Combo! man. That's how I'm gonna order all my fast food from now on. "What'll you have?" "A chicken... Combo!" Yeah.
But, yes. If you like the golden age of X-Men (the several years between Jean Grey dying and Cable appearing) you'll be in for quite a treat.
Sure, it's got Gambit, the suckiest character in history, but you can send him to his death, so that's cool.
Now, of course, I have to get the sequel.
Edit: Holy crap. The Skins option which I believe is unlocked when you win lets you use alternate costumes, like Jean Grey's Pheonix costume, or her original Marvel Girl costume, but not the green minidress w/ yellow mask. Cyclops also gets original, blue with skincap and normal. Nightcrawler & Colussus also each get their classic outfits as well as the game's regular ones. Wolverine gets yellow spandex, but not brown. Beast gets original, skin, and fur in outfit, but not fur in blue trunks. Rogue doesn't get her green outfit. Storm doesn't get her classic outfit either. White Queen doesn't get her corset (complaining not, I am). Hmm. Gambit & Jubilee get nothing special, and that's all I can remember
