Okay, kids. Let's compare & contrast.

This (the US trailer for The Forty Year Old Virgin) to THIS, the UK version of the same thing.

Pretty much identical, except for the swearing in the UK version. And the boobs.

Filthy Englishmen.

Film looks funnier every time I see one of the trailers, though.

Hmmm. Wait for the wife, or see it this weekend?

The one that seems to completely miss me?

[livejournal.com profile] atomiks makes up for it.

WizKids, the geniuses behind Heroclix & Mage Knight, are going to be producing a Battlestar Galactica TCG (Trading Card Game).

I might actually pick that up, given the chance. I like how any character could be a cylon.

Perched in my cubicle this afternoon as the storm passed overhead. The lightning was creeping up on us, moving southeast as the 401 lies.

The bolts of lightning flashed in the sky to the north. No rain was falling yet; the wind was picking up, but lightly.

Then, it arrived. It got dark outside. Very dark. Midnight dark. Lit only by streetlights and electrical flashes. One of my co-workers was concerned that she'd left her car window open. I gave her my umbrella to go check. It didn't help much.

I considered, for a minute, that I might have left my sunroof open; then I remembered it had been raining as I came into work. Thank God, or I'd have had to rinse out the car. Hell, it likely would have shorted out the electrical systems.

The rain was lashing against the ground, and the wind drove it sideways. You could see, from our third floor view, rain dancing across the parking lot. Thunder followed lightning almost immediately. Then the reports of tornado warnings started running across the office.

We were as safe as possible, really. Our building is only four stories, and four squat stories too. The wind could howl all it wanted, Little pigs, little pigs, let me in, and I'd just rub the hairs of my chinny chin chin and tell everyone to get back to work.

And then, as quick as it arrived, it was gone. The storm, in any case; rain continued to fall for the rest of the day.

There was flooding around TO, but it looks like the city moved through the storm just as easily as the storm moved through the city.

Now, my muscles are starting to be sore from [livejournal.com profile] ketronic's gentle ministrations. I should go to bed now.
