Again with questions

eyebeams.
1)What campaign have you always wanted to run/play but never had the chance?
Either a WWII Golden Age Champions game set in Canada, or a long running Al-Qadim game using 3E rules. I would also like to try using Spycraft for a Super Agents game (SHIELD/Checkmate). Or playing Werewolf with a group for whom Superheros with Fangs isn’t anathema.
I’m simple, like that.
2) What three pieces of advice would you give me about attending conventions? You always seem to have more fun than I do.
A) Make sure your shoes are broken in. Okay, we both messed up on that at GenCon, but it still bears recognizing.
B)Keep to a schedule that suits you. Some people need to plan things out in strong detail. Others need to only have a general plan. Others just show up and see what’s going on. I tend to fall into category 3. That does give flexibility, but it does sacrifices opportunities to enjoy pre-planned events.
C) Know where your friends are going to be. If you don’t know anyone there, know where people you find interesting are going to be.
3) What do you think of the new World of Darkness so far? Careful, bland or both?
I like it. It hurts me to admit that the WoD core rules could be just cut out and put into a separate book (I'd always said that it would be foolish. Guess I was wrong). I like the WoD mortals rules, and think that the removal of Apocalyptic elements from Vampire and Werewolf was a good idea. The game worlds seem to have been streamlined and are improved by it. I'm liking Werewolf so far, and my Thursday night group is going to start a Vampire game soon.
4) Is there any one experience that has tempted you do drop fan things altogether?
Not really. If it were anything, it would be some of the people, but the great truth of life is that no matter where you go, you will meet people you do not like. I get too much joy out of fandom (or, at the very least, fandom is what I am comfortable with) to allow a minor social disagreement/blood feud to drive me out. Living well, and all that.
5) What are you up to this coming weekend?
Not much. Brunch with Mater Bitter for Mother's Day, but not much otherwise.
