Amusing fact garnered from the last poll: You're all jaded bourgeoisie bastards.

Feh. Got a couple suits today. You know, in most situations having your parents be ashamed of you is a really bad thing, but when it gets you a new suit, who's gonna complain?

The stitching on the jacket was kinda not as good as I'd have liked it, but I think that may have been because the cuff is supposed to be adjusted.

Got a nice grey suit and a linen one. Linen's nice and light for summer.

Hey, Klingons! The uniforms are the best bit.

So, dragged myself to the FLCS last Monday (which was, in fact, two days AFTER FCBD) to pick over the carcass.

Star Wars: Clone War Adventures. Very fun. Close to the cartoon of the same name. I can't really abide by the normal SW adventures DH puts out, but it's enjoyable. Don't think I'll buy them, though.

IDW Compilation: The Shield, CSI, 24 & 30 days of Night. Wow. This is horrid. Excerpts of stories based on your favourite TV shows. "Hey, if we give them five pages they'll HAVE to buy the whole book, right?" Sure, yeah. Five pages of crappy sample is gonna make me run out and pick up a book based on a TV show I feel nonplussed about. And make sure to reserve me a copy of the Survivor TPB.

Teen Titans Go. It appears to be a full issue. For free. Sure, the TV show causes my nipples to bleed, but overall, readable. If I was twenty years younger, I might read it.

The Ballad of Sleeping Beauty. Fairytale western? And a full issue? Damn, sign me up. I'm hooked in. And the bit from their Fade from Grace story looks interesting.

Slave Labour Stories. Enjoyable, readable. I think the Bill & Ted story was originally from the late '80s, but I may be wrong. The other stories were cool, self contained, and readable. Sure, not all to my liking, but I might pick up a few of them.

Back in Black Brian Pulido Unleashed at Avatar. Hmmm. Bad Girl art, Celts (and the line "You don't look Irish. You lhave the look of a Celt"), and the tagline "Like Boobs, Blood & Blasphemy?" Look, if I was boob hound [livejournal.com profile] brand_of_amber* I might like this shit, but personally, it's enough to launch me on a Jihad. I am personally offended by this crap. They let this Pulido guy publish? And multiple books? Okay, evil. I can see a Straczynski label, but this is just WRONG.

After reading this story, I remember how much fun it is to play with statistics.

Oh, Lord.

Moving preparation is apace. I have so damn many books it annoys me.

Today, I went through three shelves of old books and found several hundred CCG cards of various kinds.

Jesus. I REALLY hope I got most of these for free/cheap, or I was a total tool for most of the past decade.

Jesus.

I still have some Deadlands packs that are unopenned.

I tossed out a couple Kult boosters, a lot of Deadlands cards, a few Illuminati cards, some WCW Nitro a booster of Raw Deal, and some Survivor cards (Jesus, that was a bad idea for a CCG). I kept my Kelly Wigglesworth card, as well as my Goldberg and a few others.

I pity the poor bastards at Mississauga Waste Disposal.
