But I still wanna thalk about it a bit.

Johnny Cash is dead. Right now, Real Players is telling me "Cash's trademark baritone growl and disdainful sneer are the crown and scepter he bears as the king of Outlaw Country music" while I listen to Folsom Prison.

I really wasn't into him big as a child, teen, or even young adult. I only got into his music in the past couple years. I don't care what no one says, but I liked his newer American recordings.

He was a storyteller and you saw could see anger in him. Thankfully, I can't see too much of his music in my life (with the possible exception of "Sixteen Tons", but that's just another case of IHMJ. And "Flushed From the Bathroom of your Heart", but that was a long time ago, in another county. And besides, the bitch is... older).

I guess John Tynes said it best. It's sad that he's gone. I will take comfort that he and June are together now.
