Excellent night
Aug. 24th, 2003 01:05 amThe day went by rather quick. In between explaining to people what a comic convention was (I suppose asking, oh, Information would have been too hard) and WHERE it was (follow the hall, Einstein, you'll find your way) I sold tickets & photos.
Dinner was good; we did a dinner reception at the Movenpick across from the convention centre; interestingly enough, it was in an Off Track Betting parlour. The garbage can was filled with betting slips and racing forms. It was odd.
The dinner was good. The three guests were first rate, and since it was Leary's bday yesterday, Harry's bday in a few weeks, and Richards in a few days, they got strudel with a b'day candle in it.
All in all, enjoyable. Lots of pictures taken. Can't wait for it to be over, though. Summerslam tomorrow. I fear the Elimination Chamber will be mediocre at best.
