It's strange to have your t-shirt deciphered.

Snra. Bitter & I went off to Waterloo to attend a home warming BBQ with one of our recently married (last year) friends. Actually, I think it was a house-warming BBQ and we couldn't make the first one.

Anyway, Val & Chris met, IIRC, at an Egyptology course at the ROM. Many of their friends are also in the course.

Now, this means that they're versed in the Egyptology. Not knowing this, I wore a t-shirt Mama and Papa Bitter had brought back from Egypt during their last trip there, with a generally unknown pair of cartouches. About, oh, five or twenty times during the party, someone would stare intently at my chest (a sensation I have never had before, really, and can now understand how some dames feel), and offering the translation (which was something like "eat at Menaten's, Thursday is lady's nite").

Anyway, aside from that much enjoyment was had. Actually, including that much enjoyment was had. We watched ST2:TWOK on a HUGE TV. This thing was MASSIVE. I WANT TO BE BURIED IN IT.

Oh, be still my beating heart.

TWOK rocks, btw. In spite of reverberating screams or other petty quibbles and the fact there are plot bits that, yes, require dumbness on the part of the canniest guy in starfleet.

We stuck around for a while (two hamburgers, some watermelon, a couple cookies and a couple cokes and a beer, seperately).

Today? That was gaming. I'll talk about it later.
