Oct. 6th, 2002 09:30 amOh, yeah: Mega Big ShoutOut to
pyat for his convention paneling scheduling/dish washing skills.
How you gonna prevent dishpan hands? Palmolive, BeeeeeyoTCH!
Feh.
Last night was Dave C's birthday. Went & attended with
mr_weasel. Was interesting. DC is getting an EverQuest RPG game together, and I am gonna play. Finally, regularity. It's good to have friends whose work schedules are not 'full time'. I have told the other players I shall play a comely elf maid. Maybe I will. Or perhaps I just read too much PVP.
As per family dynamis relating to pre the event, my wife couldn't go because her cold is still bothering her, and HIS wife couldn't go because odds are A) she wouldn't know anyone there, B) her odds of having anything in common with them would be minimal at best.
Previously, we went to watch Mizhakhi's Spirited Away (did I spell it right? Nik?).
Of course, it was lovely and sweet and had wonderful visuals and the voice actors were blah blah blah. I fell asleep for about 20 minutes. It was cool, though. The bathhoue for spirits had lots of really neat visuals, but overall it was less than engaging. And, to show my Game Fu is not strong, I couldn't think of a single gaming parallel.
And the first person who says "Mage" gets hit in the fucking head with an anvil.
I've realized one other thing. I hate Illinois Nazis.
