Jan. 26th, 2002 12:11 pmOkay, no one (and I mean NO one) ever told me you could be this sore after BOWLING. Elvis. My thumb is throbbing like the bass on a $2000 car with a $12000 stereo.
The evening, as a whole, went well. We met at the Fox & Fiddle (since it was my birthday, they had Haggis on the menu, but we settled for Ribs).
Brad & his gang (His charming wife Odette, Gary Hilson, Boy Reporter, and David "finger on the pulse of humanity" Creighton, also known as "the people I know who live downtown") were delayed by traffic, so they arrived late. No big whoop, we just got bowling a little later than we planned. The ribs were very good. Tasty and fall off the bone.
Our waitress seemed to epitomize Harried. When my dinner arrived, she looked at my plate and said "that doesn't seem to be enough meat. I'll go get you some more". More never arrived.
I wasn't truly upset by it. The plate was filling, although I should have got mashed potatoes instead of Baked, fully loaded.
I'm also feeling somewhat guilty over the bill. I divied it up into $25 a person, but that was too much. I will give everyone a fin back and say I'm sorry when I see them.
Go look at this. http://www.moorecreations.com/gallery/snowglobes/godzilla.html. It's a Godzilla snowglobe. Cindy got it for me. God, I love that woman.
Apparently at SDCC (http://www.comiccon.org), I saw it and fell in love. So, she ordered it. It arrived in August sometime, and she's hid it ever since.
She's SO sneaky. It's quite cool. If it lit up or had music, it would be the most perfect creation in human history. As it is, it's cool, and it's MINE. Heh.
The bowling happened later. I'm somewhat glad Lance & Ed didn't make it. Not that, in any way, I didn't miss their company. It's just that they bowl for fun. Having people who know what they're doing just ruins it for me. :)
My initian forays onto the field were weak. My first four frames had a score of 1. Total.
I think the second (or third) game saw me break 100, which is good. For me, anyway.
Let's look at that Godzilla globe again, shall we?

Damn. Sweeeeeet.
Now, to write!
