Home for the holidays
Apr. 11th, 2004 10:33 amBasking in Familial goodness at Ancestral Casa Mohareb this weekend. Snra & I actually decided to stay at a B&B instead of staying in the downstairs guest room (too much mothball scent for her, too many bad memories for me).
We stayed at Stevenson House, which was very nice. Good room (blast those Anglicans, though, for their 7 am wakeup call).
The parents have completely redone the kitchen. A little wallspace was sacrificed for the addition of new cabinets and a microwave hutch. New cabinets around the rest of the room as well, and new countertops. It's quite disconcerting. I walked in and assumed I'd strolled into the wrong house.
The rest of the house remains as it is. Clearing out is goign a bit slowly. I assume the laundry room will get a cleaning next. I mean, how many decades worth of Sears, Eatons, and Simpsons catalogues do they NEED?
Feh. We brought the Sacred Xbox down, and played some Halo. Quite fun.
