A slightly smaller crowd last night, but this way we managed to let everyone play all the time. Which was good.

[livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel and Charles were unable to attend due to family responsibility and work responsibility, respected. Missed MW, Charles not so much (due to the whole "shoot me in the head" thingy).

[livejournal.com profile] rentaghurka and [livejournal.com profile] whisper_jeff were also AWOL due to a strange infection. Oddly enough, Typhoid Chris, the primary carrier, was able to make it, but seemed very healthy. Uday brought [livejournal.com profile] adamjury over, but had to leave early, so we killed the kid and put him in the shed out back.

I'm kidding. We don't have a shed.

There was much joy to be had. We covered every level (even that horrible water processing one) and a fair number of scenarios. But we always came back to Rocket Launchers.

Because we were short handed on controllers, I stole out to EB Games and picked myself up an FPS Master from Gamester.

It's an interesting hunk o' hardware. I'll have to get used to using it, but the premise is that the ABXY keys are moved down to the handle of the controller, allowing them to be manipulated by the middle and ring fingers. This prevents you from having to move your thumb off the right thumbstick during play to press them.

Geek toys are fun.

So, yeah. We played, ordered Kentucky Fried Chicken (which my bowels have sent me a delightful thank you card for). I was hoping to order Just Greek's Two Can Dine deal x5, but since the local franchise seems to have closed, no go. We did get another copy of the flyer in the mail, which was like a letter from beyond the grave, only the commercial version.

Anyone interested in Toronto's History (such as for a, oh, I don't know, Wraith game) may want to check out this book: Hidden Toronto. I haven't had a chance to read it yet (as it's not published yet) but I'm strongly considering buying it from my local chain store.

Well I don't think it will displace my original NPC guide (http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/item.asp?N=35&R=403962&act=A03&Item=978088882185&Section=books&Catalog=Books&Lang=en&mscssid=BDWF0BGCEBCA8N4V74GRT0P8T67E3CA4&WSID=0902D0193CC22FAB4565A2D2C2492BAEA39E3523) but it looks interesting.

Bad promo writing though - noticed how it starts with UNESCO's declaration about us being the most multi-cult city in the world and then lists that under little known facts... uh...
