Rather quiet night last evening. No costuming done (was going to request Laurie B. do me a quick n' dirty Fred Flintstone costume, but she's been under the weather lately), but work was enjoyable. Sugared candy was poured (Poured, I say!) down my gullet for about 8 hours.

Quickly growing to hate work. No, continuing to hate work. Love job, though. Conundrum.

Anyway, after work Snra. Bitter picked me up and we headed home to feed los gatos and down to My Comic Shop for stuff (JLA/Avengers #2, Ultimate 6 #'s 2 & 3).

Dinner was had at a small Pakistani Indian BBQ joint calledBar-B-Q Tonite. The reviews are pretty accurate, except for the good ones. Poor service, small portions. Next time I hanker for some good EI food, I head to Gerard.

And that Zabihah.com is a cool website. Spicy fooood. Hmmmmm...

Of course, after that, it was off to the show. We drove to downtown, parked on Harbord, and strolled up to the Tranzac, home of Evil Dead The Musical.

It was quite enjoyable. The cast was fairly strong (aside from Ryan Ward who played Ash, who didn't seem to quite have pipes strong enough for even that tiny venue).

I did like the musical goofiness of it, and the rest of the cast carried off their performances nicely (and now I actually want to SEE the first two Evil Dead movies). Bumped into local Horror author Stephanie Bedwell-Grimes and her husband, who made delightful intermission company.

I would probably buy the soundtrack, if only to hear all the music. Did get the T-shirt.

Delightful evening, at the least.

Fred Flintstone next year, anyway.
