Odd that I was watching a show of that title tonight that described the history of the Crystal Beach amusement park. It reminded me of this song, about something that is also no longer there.

The Spadina bus has been replaced by a streetcar line, which does not quite have the same beat.

I remember the Crystal Beach amusement park! My aunt and uncle lived in a winterized cottage down the street from it, so we went every summer. I remember going on the day it closed, too.

Holy crap bananas J! Do you know where I can get a copy of that show? Did it show pictures of the Magic Palace? I've been trying to explain that funhouse to people for years, who all seem to think I've made it up because it's too good to be true.

Jeez, I'd love some pictures, evidence, a video tour at best. *sigh* I miss that place like mad. :(

It was on PBS last night from 11-1 am. I have no idea how you'd get a copy of it, though. THe station might be able to help.
