Yes, it wins by default due to the greatness of its subtitle.

Was Plasticman really that much a part of the main canon?

Who was the woman in green?

Not crazy about the animation. Reminds me of John Kricfalusi (which worked for Ren and Stimpy). So cartoony. And yes, I know it's a cartoon.

The test for me will be if the stories are any good.

The Brand New And Shiny 2006 Model Blue Beetle isn't really "part of the main canon". They're picking by Rule of Cool: who'll be the most fun to animate, and who'll make the best stories.

That's what the classic old Brave and the Bold comics of the '60s and '70s WERE -- Batman teaming up with The Obscure.

I don't really care about any of those characters (Make Mine Marvel!) but that cartoon has what every cartoon should have -- a wild hot jazzy and brassy score!

I like how they're using the original design (GA, early SA) for Green Arrow.

Holy Retro Flashback, Batman!

I like the vintage styling and palette of the animation, but I'm also really glad the animators have a great sense of movement and composition. I'm particularly pleased with the interspersing of comic-like splash pages to really give a comic book feel. This should be visually refreshing to watch!

Only in superhero fantasy can such things happen!

Ya know, the more I hear the score to this bit o' filmage, the more strongly I'm reminded of The Tick. Coincidence?
