I'm getting' audited

They're doing an 'audit' at work. What they're exactly auditing, I have no idea. For the past two days, I've been told to expect to be shadowed by an auditor.

This is not a small stress thing, really. If they're auditing, and they wanna listen to me, it's nerve wracking.

Then, they keep canceling. It's like I'm a kamikaze pilot who keeps getting told his flight's been cancelled.

"Okay, you ready to die for the emperor?"

"Yep!"

"Just checking. Gonna fly your plane into a Gaijin boat for the emperor tomorrow, right?"

"You got it! Banzai!"

"Yeah, banzai. That's cool."

[Next day]

"So! Am I off to die for the emperor today?"

"Nah. Too foggy."

Feh. The anticipation is annoying me.
