Quick question: Who here is going to be attending Toronto Trek/Polaris this weekend?

Yes, this question includes the people I'll be sharing a room with. Any out of town people coming? I was hoping to do some gaming, but then I just chuckled sadly to myself.

Seriously, they used to have a neat gaming corridor, where there were minis games and card games and rpgs. That's where I met [livejournal.com profile] gnaremoob during a B5 demo. Good times. Now they just have some rooms, but nothing scheduled.

Plus, they had the gall to schedule themselves against the Paradise Comiccon. Someone should start a petition!

I'm going :) I'm sure I'll run into you guys at a few panels. Are you and Cindy coming to the Vampire Ball? I found the perfect outfit for that dance, I'm so looking forward to it :)

My plan is to get a Saturday gaming membership and just hang out in the gaming room all day. Anything more is beyond my meager means.

Speaking of which -- have you been, and if so, are you familiar with the gaming room? Should I bring my own board games or are there games available?

Pretty sure we won't be there, what with the price of airfare between Vancouver and Toronto...

I won't be there Friday because I have a wedding to go to at 8 pm (yeah, you read that right), but I'm gonna try to hit it up Saturday or Sunday.

Not that that has anything to do with gaming, so probably not an issue. ;)

Sure, as soon as your cheque to cover the gas clears. :-)

I'll be there, but I have no intention of gaming in our room.

I am unfortunately at a concert on the Sat night. It doesn't really make sense to go this year.

Next year

I'll be there of course, as well as [livejournal.com profile] wookiemart and I'm sorry but I finished off the Babylon 5 DVDs without you although I'm willing to go back and re-watch them with you. I've just been working every weekend the last couple of weeks and wanted to make sure I got them watched before the con. Perhaps you'll finally get to meet [livejournal.com profile] wookiemart and if he's not too busy running around or standing around in the Powerloader he built, yes, he built a lifesize Powerloader a la "Alien" that fits his 6'4" frame. He may enjoy a game or two to relax, or heck, just a drink would suit us fine, we are old after all. :)

What if the game was "Spin John Barrowman"?

"Plus, they had the gall to schedule themselves against the Paradise Comiccon. Someone should start a petition!"

I'm hoping this is an attempt at sarcasm, Paradise booked after Polaris. Doesn't matter though, both of them are dead in the water anyway.

I have a writer attending with a press pass. But sadly I cannot go myself.

The one major draw for me would have been Ellen Muth. I loved Dead Like Me like crazy. Sad its over (but there are movie rumours)

If you see her, tell her she's lucky I wasn't there to embarass myself like a fanboy. I got a level head about meeting celebs and stuff, but she distracts me.

Maybe next year, if I can get organized enough to do some panels. The walk-in cost is a bit steep for me. Shame, because there's some fun stuff going on.

I'm not really involved with Farscape Canada any more, so I cannot tell you!
