Date: 2003-05-30 07:58 pm (UTC)I always thought it was rather gentle. Honestly, I did. Most of the people in it just seem very passionate and interesting. They just let people tell their stories - some of them freak the mundanes, others are just very earnest about their fandom.

There's a nice bit about two very balanced women who run a Star Trek fan call in radio show, for example, and they follow around a kid who, though he wears the uniform to school, is actually quite intelligent and pleasant.
