Comics in my life
Apr. 18th, 2008 11:31 amSo, did my regular comics shopping this week (G33kdom neglected me for B&tB and Dr. Who agin. Thanks, Junior!) and I noticed something interesting.
Marvel books are still priced at $2.99 US/$3.05 Can, but now the DC books are $2.99 US/Can. So, for now, they've once again achieved the parity last seen when I was in short pants.
I also picked up issue #1 of Boom! comics' Cthulhu Tales comic (chessboard cover).
Interesting collection of short stories (I apparently missed the first collection. The first one is pretty standard Lovecraft homage, Learned man (Priest) learns horrible truths about universe, Takes Action.
The other two are the more interesting ones. The second deals with a group of children making a horrifying discovery, and the third is a story of Baseball that actually made me flip back to see if
rdansky had written it.
It wasn't too bad, but for enjoyment to $$ ratio, I think I'll see if I can get the trade.
