Friday night, Potterdammerung withracing_girl after rib dinner at mississauga Ribfest with Cynra & atomiks.

A ton of ribs sat heavy in my gut, but I was fine. I was fairly happy with just ditching Heather's party and going to Shoppers Drug Mart for the book, but my companion was adamant. Admittedly, they were obscenely efficient; the "this is the end of the cash line" guy estimated we'd have a 90 minute/two hour wait, but it was done in 25 minutes. At this point, I'm about half done.

I was very tired yesterday, so I had a nap after Cynra & I went to get some dirt. The dirt was for the front garden, which we worked on today. Yesterday night, we went to visit mr_weasel at his new house.

We got a game of Settlers of Cataan in, although it was strange. mr_weasel's SoC game was missing a lot of cards; he had two soldiers instead of the more than a dozen were supposed to be in it, and there were a lot of extra library cards, etc. And he was short a few Sheep cards.

Busy weekend, in any case. Now, back to the magical realm of England.

YAY 401 Games!

I went in to 401 Games and spoke to Jeff. He's going order me a replacement set of cards. He also mentioned that I wasn't the first person to come in and present this problem to him. I guess Mayfair had a bad batch of games go out of the factory.

Of course, I had to browse the store while I was there. :) I picked up the 5-6 player expansion pack for S of C. I also found a Romanian tank (!) in their A&A singles box. I resisted picking up the "Spell Compendium" because I never get to play any more. :P

True. The basement is even nicer. Maybe we can reprise the GI campaign or something? Definitely after the wedding.

I think you should start anew in the setting. Get some interested players, set solid dates, and build PCs as a group endeavour so they fit into the setting. And pillage every d20 material you can find. Did Avalanche ever do a Roman setting book?
