Fantasy Flight for $5!? Fantastic!

Fantasy Flight has a good selection of their RPGs on sale for $5, including their Blue Planet books and Nocturnum, a d20 CoC setting. Wow.

There's also some of their Horizon books and Legends and Lairs books. Good bargains, methinks.

Wow. There are a couple things on that list that I'd be leary about paying full price for, but would certainly spend $5 for a protracted look.

If there is a will, there is a way. I'm in for at least three of the books if we decide to do this.

And can be contacted at dpirko at cogeco dot ca if you want to discuss it further off-list.

Oh look! FFG is orphaning Fireborn! ::sigh::

I shouldn't be surprised; I really can't believe that FFG wants to be a rolegame publisher any more. I really hope that Grimm (the 2nd edition) will surface eventually, and that it will be a nifty one-and-out.

I once owned an entire collection of Blue Planet, but I divested -- from a setting point of view, BP was wonderfully rich, and I had a host of ideas about things I could do with it. But there were niggling points I wasn't happy about (the unremitting eco-terrorist agenda, the bleak "drowinging in our own waste" view of the future, yet more "evil mega-corporations", strange underlying "answer to all the mysteries").

I chiefly wanted to do "Magnum PI or Hawaii 5-0, but in the future, and on a different planet", and Blue Planet seemed like it would be a really good way to do that. But I was never keen on the BP mechanics (I probably would have used CORPS or EABA), and never really had an opportunity to fit it into our gaming schedule.

But let me tell you; all six books for 30 bucks? Hmmm.... maybe I could use them again now?

No!
No!

Must reclaim space on my bookshelves, not add to it! I'd probably be more space efficient getting a copy of GURPS BP and GURPS Cops instead... 8)

I'd really like to pick up Nocturnum, but $5 plus shipping to Australia = not worth the effort. Shame.

Maybe I can carry it down on my next visit! Mind, you , that won't be for a year, if I pull it off at all.

That's kind, but given the timeframe, I'll see if I can find it locally.
