Holy Crap

So, before heading down to Ancestral Casa Bitter for some Labour Day relaxation, Cyrna & I decided to pump up the air in our tires. They were a bit low.

The drive down here (admittedly a good one as it was 110 all the way, on a highway)? 35KPL. For our southern friends, 83.65 miles per gallon. I was happy when it was 20-22 KPL.

Yeah, I'm gonna be watching those tires a lot closer from now on.

Man. If this is the kind of performance you get when you're 2000 kms over your checkup, I may never see a mechanic again.

I thought hard about getting a Smart.

They aren't that practical if you have kids...

35KPL == 2.8 L/100km

Meanwhile...

Mooched a ride to same Ancestral Casa Bitter from Markham, for a Labour Day visit from a friend headed back to Kingston. He probably put around 550-600 km on the car (an early 1990's Honda Accord). $58.75 for the fill-up of 46 L at the Pioneer.

Will email you another question.
